Boston Terrier in Winter

OPTIONS

Your commissioned painting will be done with acrylic or watercolor* paints on a prepared surface, signed by the artist on the front, and sealed with a clear, protective varnish (glossy or matte). Paintings are available in three options.  Price list available by clicking HERE.

Option 1:  The painting is done on 140# cold press paper (a heavy watercolor paper).  This option would require framing/matting.

Option 2:  The painting is done on a 3/4-inch deep, "creative edge" canvas.  (See picture below.)  This is a double-primed, cotton duck canvas which has been stretched over a wood frame, wrapped around, and stapled on the back of the frame. No frame is needed since no staples are visible. The canvas is fully painted on edges/sides and is ready to hang as is. (Although it can certainly be framed later if desired.)  Creative edge canvases are 3/4-inch thick.

Option 3:  The painting is done on a 1.5-inch deep, "gallery-wrapped" canvas.  This is a double-primed, cotton duck canvas which has been stretched over a wood frame, wrapped around, and stapled on the back of the frame. No frame is needed since no staples are visible. The canvas is fully painted on edges/sides and is ready to hang as is. (Although it can certainly be framed later if desired.)  Gallery-wrapped canvases are 1.5 inches thick.

*Watercolor paints require selection of a paper surface.  Canvas may not be used.

Creative Edge Canvas

More about wrapped canvases:
Above is an example of a painting done on "creative edge" canvas. Notice how the edges are fully painted so that the painting is ready to hang on your wall without going to the trouble of finding a frame for it!
