Are the paintings in the Online Gallery available for purchase?
Yes! Even though the paintings in the Online Gallery have already been sold, and ANNA-SANs art policy is "never the same painting twice," any painting you see in the online gallery can be painted again with two or three very small changes to make it unique. When you purchase an ANNA-SAN painting you are assured that your painting is a one-of-a-kind piece of art, and it will never be mass-reproduced or sold as a print. (If ANNA-SAN prints are ever sold, they will be made from an original painting which the artist will keep in her possession.)
Do you paint anything besides dogs? Yes. Although dogs are the primary inspiration, ANNA-SAN occasionally paints cats, landscapes, city-scapes, buildings, automobiles, etc. Anything you would like to see in a painting, ANNA-SAN can create it for you in her unique folk/pop style. Just ask!
How much does a commissioned painting cost?
Click here to see the PRICE LIST for information on the price of different sizes/types of paintings along with shipping charges. Insurance is required for commissioned pieces and is included in the shipping charges. Prices on paintings range from $75 to $250 and up depending on the size and whether paper or canvas is used.
How long does it take to complete a painting?
You should allow two to four weeks from the time you place your order to the time you receive your package in the mail. Your package will be shipped ASAP by Priority Mail after payment is received.
Can you create preliminary sketch for me before I make a decision?
Yes. After we agree upon the basic idea for your painting, ANNA-SAN will create a preliminary sketch which you can view on this web site to give you an idea of how the completed product will look. Once you give your approval to the preliminary sketch the actual painting will begin. NOTE: your approval on the preliminary sketch is considered to be your final consent to go ahead with the order, and you are obligated to complete the purchase at this point.
Do I need to send a photograph of my pet?
Even though sending a picture is not absolutely necessary, especially for a generic-looking pet which is typical of its breed, photos can really help a lot in giving a painting some personal touches. Any special markings your pet has can be included in the painting if you send ANNA-SAN a photo to go by. Pictures can be e-mailed or sent by U.S. mail; however, some dog art lovers forego sending a picture altogether and simply describe their pet in an e-mail message or even give the artist full rein saying, "whatever the artist comes up with will be fine with me." Other details like setting and preferred colors can be discussed via e-mail as well. Some of the best ideas for a painting can be found in your pets typical behaviors and personality. For example, does your dog like to sleep in a certain chair? Or do your four pals always line up in the same order at meal times? Does your pet especially like barking at squirrels, swimming in the river, or running on the beach? Just send in your thoughts and ideas and ANNA-SAN can come up with a great painting for you!
Can you put more than one dog or cat in a single painting? Of course! There is no extra charge for including more than one pet.

How do I pay for my commissioned painting?
Payment can be made by money order, cashiers check, or with a credit card through PayPal. Sorry, no personal checks accepted!(PayPal payments should be directed to my e-mail address:
anna-san@excite.com) Credit card payments are preferred.
When your painting is complete, ANNA-SAN will send you an e-mail directing you to a web page featuring pictures of your completed painting. At that time you may send payment in full.
What if I don't like the completed painting?
You WILL like it! In fact you will be really pleased with it. You may even LOVE it! ANNA-SAN has never, ever, had a complaint about a finished piece. If you approve the preliminary sketch, and then upon receiving your painting you are dissatisfied with it because aliens have commandeered your brain, then I'm afraid you are stuck with it. This is unfortunate, but ANNA-SAN is not responsible for alien antics. IF the piece is damaged in shipping you WILL be able to get your money refunded because all commissioned paintings are shipped with insurance coverage.
Do you accept international orders?
Yes, but keep in mind the fact that the shipping charges are higher for international orders. If you need a shipping charge quote for an international order, please inquire by email at anna-san@excite.com and ANNA-SAN will get back to you with the answer as soon as possible.
What will I receive with my completed order?
The total package consists of your commissioned piece signed by ANNA-SAN on the front and sealed with a clear, protective varnish. A certificate of authenticity, a receipt, and an ANNA-SAN business card will also be included in your package.
How do I place an order?
Send ANNA-SAN an e-mail at anna-san@excite.com stating the following:
1. How you discovered ANNA-SAN's art
2. Whether you want canvas or paper, watercolor or acrylic paints, glossy or matte varnish, and the size (dimensions) of the desired painting
3. What kind of pet or other object you want featured in your painting
4. Any other details you want to include ANNA-SAN will reply as soon as possible. |
